Dry Fragrance: Aromatic, spice, floral, malt
Wet Aroma/Break: floral, spice, toasted grain with citrus, winey fruit, malt and chocolate on the break
Body/Mouthfeel: medium weight, rich, smooth, chewy
Acidity/Brightness: sparkling and lively, with multiple fruit weaving in and out--citric, tartaric
Flavor/Depth: complex, balanced, floral notes, light citric (tangerine), tree fruit jam, spices, and hints of chocolate
Aftertaste: sweet, complex, spice and floral notes with sweet fruit and a hint of malt

Bean Bio

From the vendor:

This coffee is produced in the Cachi microregion of Orosi near Cartago, Costa Rica. Four generations have produced coffee at the La Margarita farm. In 2000, the family built a micromill and named it Zalmari. This farm neighbors the Tapanti Wildlife Refuge and has gained the nickname “Misty Mountain” as a result of the mist that comes down the mountain of the wildlife refuge at night. This honey microlot produces an excellent espresso, developing floral notes and dark chocolate tones.
